She began as a researcher in psychology working on learning processes. Passionate about the functioning of the brain, she followed a specialization in clinical neuropsychology at the Faculty of Medicine of Montpellier
and worked in memory consultation at the University Hospital of Montpellier and then for Inserm in Paris and Pau.
Since 2015, during a move to Africa, Caroline Sanjuan has worked more specifically with children and adolescents in schools.
His practice is mainly oriented on two axes.
On the one hand, she works with children in need of psychotherapeutic support to enable them to manage their emotions, to work on self-confidence, to learn “becoming an adult”. For this, she uses an integrative approach, based on the principles of cognitive-behavioral therapies and mindfulness approaches.
On the other hand, it supports children with difficulties in their schooling thanks to the neuropsychological assessment. This makes it possible to take stock of cognition and highlight atypical functions such as ADD/H, dys disorders or autism spectrum disorders. It also offers individualized remedial elements for families who wish.
The services offered:
– Child or adolescent therapeutic follow-up: managing emotions, anxiety, self-confidence, self-esteem, difficulties at school, …
– Neuropsychological assessment of children and adolescents: global cognitive efficiency test (WISC V), attentional and executive assessment, exploration of social cognition.
– Adult assessment: overall cognitive efficiency assessment (WAIS IV), attentional and executive assessment, memory consultation.
