Our ophthalmologists perform eye exams and prescribe corrective lenses, but they can also perform eye surgery outside in a hospital when needed. They are highly trained and skilled at diagnosing, monitoring and treating a variety of eye conditions, including glaucoma, macular degeneration or cataracts.

You can see one of our ophthalmologists if you have a pre-existing eye pathology or a new concern that requires advanced care or surgery.

We also recommend that you book an appointment if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms:

Loss of vision or decreased vision in one or both of your eyes
Seeing spots, flashes of light
Seeing lightning streaks or jagged lines of light, distortions or wavy lines,
Having wavy or watery vision, or seeing blurry faces, haloes around lights, double vision
Changes in your field of vision such as seeing shadows, black spots or blurriness
Note changes in your colour vision
